Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Overview
Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short but very popular trek in Nepal for 4 days. On this 4-day Poon-hill trek, you will experience the lush vegetation of the Annapurna Conservation Area and panoramic views of the Annapurna range and other mountains.
The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a four-day trek that can be done throughout the year. You can hike in any season of the month. However, at the end of December and January, a lot of snow accumulates on the trail which makes the trek a little harder with the colder weather. This trek is suitable for all people as you don't have to worry about altitude sickness. It is a great destination for a week's vacation and can be also adjusted as per your schedule.
This Poon Hill trek is suitable for anyone who is time-bound but still wants to experience trekking in the beautiful Annapurna region of Nepal. you will be accompanied by the stunning view of the Annapurna ranges and Dhaulagiri throughout your whole trek. Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01: Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri
Our first day will start in Pokhara. After breakfast, we drive in a private vehicle to Nayapul which is the starting point of our trek. It takes about 1 hour to reach Nayapul. After reaching Nayapul, we will walk to Ulleri (2070m / 6,791 ft). It takes us about 3 hours to reach Ulleri. The roar of Modi River, the chirping of birds, and the beautiful rhododendron forest along the way will make our trek more interesting. Upon reaching Ulleri, we will stay in a lodge and rest for the day.

Day 02: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani
After breakfast, we will start our trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani which will take us about 2 hours. After crossing Banthali village, you will see the stunning view of Annapurna South, Himchuli, and many more. After crossing many rivers and beautiful rhododendrons forest we reach Nangethanti. From there we will walk for around an hour and reach Ghorepani which will offer you a beautiful view of mountains like Annapurna South, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, and many more. After reaching Ghorepani we will have plenty of spare time so we will stroll around the village and stay overnight in a beautiful tea house.

Day 03: Trek from Ghorepani to Poon Hill to Ghandruk
We will start our trek before dawn and hike the Poon hill base to enjoy the stunning view of sunrise. From this base, it will take us about 1 hour to reach the top of Poonhill. When we reach the top, we will wait for the sun to rise and will enjoy the sunrise and enjoy the breathtaking sunkissed view of the mountains like Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri which will last for about 40 minutes. Then, we will return to Ghorepani. After breakfast, we will head down to Ghandruk, a beautiful Gurung village in the Kaski district famous for its hospitality. The trek from Ghorepani to Ghandruk is 6 hours and after reaching there we will spend the night at Ghandruk's tea house.

Day 4: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and Drive Back to Pokhara
Following the scenic route from Ghandruk, we will bid farewell to the picturesque mountains like Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Himchuli. After passing beautiful rhododendron forests, rivers, and many suspension bridges, we reach Birethanti. From Birethanti, you will walk downward and follow the Modi river to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we will drive and return back to the beautiful city of Pokhara in a private vehicle. We will stay at lakeside Hotel and enjoy musical night in Pokhara.
